Use an easy proportion and cross multiplication to find the Correct E-step ( Here we show it as X )\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span> $\"\"$ <\/a><\/li>\n

Set the new E-step as X on your machine\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n

Print 100 mm of filament again and measure the extruded length. You will see that it is closer to 100 this time.<\/span><\/li>\n

If you need more accuracy then do from step 4 again.<\/span><\/li>\n

Print in 200 mm and 300 mm lengths and continue making corrections on E-Step to make sure measurement errors are minimal<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
Example:<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n Suppose you are using a 3D printer with E-Step = 373.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n
You have set your machine to print 100mm but it has printed\u00a095mm. Then amount of new E-Step is calculated from the above\u00a0equation:<\/span><\/p>\n

Set your machine\u00a0with this new\u00a0E-Step number ( change it in the above table from 373 to 392.63)\u00a0 and try printing a 100mm length of filament again. You will see that this time the printed length is much closer to 100mm.<\/span><\/p>\n
If you need more accuracy then repeat these steps but remember that the material is plastic and you can’t expect a 1 Micron accuracy from it.<\/span><\/p>\n
